WEBTEX Basalt fiber is an inorganic fiber made by melting and homogenizing basalt mate-rial at 1450 ℃ ～ 1500 ℃ through high-speed drawing of platinum-rhodium alloy wire drain plate. It has the following excellent properties
● Good chemical stability, wide use temperature range (working temperature is about -260 ℃ ～ 600 ℃)
● Good mechanical properties (tensile strength, bending strength, modulus close to carbon fiber), high compression strength and shear strength
● Good acid and alkali resistance, water resistance, UV resistance, suitable for use in various environments
● Excellent anti-electromagnetic wave radiation performance, good sound insu-lation, good filterability, good thermal insulation
● The production process has less waste and less environmental pollution. After the product is discarded, it can be degraded into soil parent material and di-rectly transferred into the ecological environment without any harm. Therefore, it is a veritable green and environmentally friendly material.

Twisted yarns are one or more single-end strands twisted in S or Z direction on a special twisting machine.
Basalt twisted yarns are mainly recommended for production of different types of fabrics, tapes, ropes, sleeves etc.
